DAY 4: Korçë – Farma Sotira – Përmet (3h15)
At 850 meters above sea level, Korçë is the highest major city in Albania, with a population of around 50,000. Though less touristy than Berat or Gjirokastër, it remains a fascinating
destination.
Nicknamed "Little Paris", Korçë has a deep historical connection with France, having hosted a French lycée from 1917 to 1939, where both writer Ismail Kadare and dictator Enver Hoxha studied and later taught.
While in Korçë, you can visit:
- The National Museum of Medieval Art, home to one of the world’s largest collections of religious icons
- The Orthodox Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ
- The Mirahori Mosque, one of the oldest in the country
- The French Military Cemetery, honoring soldiers from World War I
Stroll through Korçë’s charming flower-filled streets and pedestrian alleys before reaching the Old Bazaar, an 18th-century Ottoman commercial district—the only one of its kind preserved in Albania.
Continue your journey through a stunning mountain route.
Before reaching Permet, take a refreshing break at Farma Sotira! Breathe in the fresh air,
explore a variety of local products, and indulge in delicious, traditionally prepared dishes crafted by a pioneer of eco-tourism.

DAY 6: Gjirokastër – Berat (2h30)
Gjirokastër, often called the "City of Stone" or "Slanted City", is a place steeped in tradition and folklore. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is the birthplace of both the famous writer Ismail Kadare and the former dictator Enver Hoxha.
The city is also known for its UNESCO-listed iso-polyphonic singing, a unique Albanian musical tradition.
During the day, take a leisurely stroll through the charming cobbled streets or visit the former home of the famous writer, now an ethnographic museum. It's a wonderful way to learn more about Albanian architecture, lifestyle, and traditions of the past.
Later in the day, set off for Berat.
Overnight in Berat.

Berat
DAY 7: Berat – Tirana (1h45)
Today, explore the beautiful city of Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2008, also known as the "City of a Thousand Windows". Berat is one of the best-preserved examples of Ottoman architecture in Albania, with roots dating back to the 15th century.
Wander through the narrow streets of the Mangalem district, climb up to the hilltop citadel at 187 meters, and visit the Onufri Museum, dedicated to Albania’s most renowned painter. You can also cross to the left bank and explore the charming Gorica neighborhood.
For a hands-on experience, a cooking class can be arranged.
In the evening, return to Tirana for your final night.
